us
Opened in 1996, the Natural Medicine Centre was one of
the first practices in the country to specialise purely
in natural therapies for pets. Richard Allport, the principal
of the centre, graduated as a vet in 1973 and began using
natural therapies for pets in 1983. At the centre Richard
and his associates offer a wide range of natural treatments
for pets from qualified and experienced therapists.
The Natural Medicine Centre is a referral centre only.
We have no facilities for any conventional veterinary
investigations such as radiography or blood tests and
we do not stock or use conventional drugs, or have any
operating facilities. We supply advice about
and treatment with natural medicines only. Your usual
veterinary practice is still responsible for the day to
day care of your pet, for any emergencies that may
occur, and for any serious deterioration in health at
any time. |

However your veterinary
practice will be able to contact us at any time should
it be necessary to do so. |

highlight all the therapies available to pets at the
centre. Most clients see Richard first and the
appropriate treatments are suggested. However if you
have a specific interest in a particular therapy, you
can book for that therapy directly. For most therapies
you will need a referral from your own vet, see details
below. |
